Welcome to Mapleton Public Schools! We are not your ordinary school district. We offer 18 schools that are small-by-design to support all types of learners with safe, family-like learning environments. In Mapleton, we do not have “neighborhood” schools. Families choose a school based on how their child likes to learn, not where they live. Students living within the District boundaries and more than one mile from their school of choice receive free transportation to their school.
Mapleton offers a variety of school models, including Expeditionary Learning, International Baccalaureate, STEM, Big Picture, University Partnership and online, just to name a few. Each school model takes a unique, engaging and research-based approach to state content standards.
Big Picture Model
The Big Picture model compels students to experience a college-preparatory environment balancing classes, seminars, independent learning, and real-world learning through professional internships and access to college courses.
